Angel investors with Tamiami Angel Fund V invested $710,000 in PlantBaby, the maker of plant-based Kiki Milk. The Naples-based fund’s 14th investment will support production and distribution as demand grows for the shelf-stable, organic beverage. Founded by Alex and Lauren Abelin, the company developed Kiki Milk as an alternative for children with dairy and soy allergies. The product does not require refrigeration until opened and is expanding into major retailers, including a planned rollout at Sprouts stores nationwide.
